The lavender patch was busy today! The F1.8 wide aperture has a depth of field that is of the order of the length of the bee's body. I like the impressionistic feel of the heavily cropped image ... sort of makes up for the grain.
Even at F4 getting all of the petals sharp is tricky.
Must admit though ... this fixed 85mm Canon lens is my favourite at the moment.
